Big Show THIS WEEK!

Rob and I leave on Thursday for a LOOOOONG trip to Washington D.C. for a golf expo. We're only staying until Monday morning, but the 8 hour drive in a U-Haul is going to make it long enough! -- Not to mention not watching the Pats in the Superbowl! >:0 -- We are bringing out Dancin' Dogg Shot Simulator with us, to use it with an indoor driving range. This way our people can try before they buy! We are bringing plenty of G.R.I.P. clubs and demos. I personally have never been to an expo, so I am pretty exciting and will keep you all updated!

Check out G.R.I.P. golf clubs, and you can try before you buy with the G.R.I.P. Demo Program!

Very Cool

So, as you know I was very excited about the Dancin' Dogg shot simulator. Our Dancin' Dogg arrived today and I was more excited than a kid on Christmas. I downloaded all the software which was extremely user friendly. The instructions for set up and the "quick tips" pages were equally helpful and easy to read. I had this set up in no time. Then I got to play! I used the Tiger Woods PGA Tour '07 and played as Tiger! I can't wait to make a character with my personal characteristics. The sound effects and graphics are amazing, and if I wanted to play on-line against other players, Tiger makes it happen.

Just so I could get the feel for the entire program, I used the shot-maker simulator as well. The pro-shop guys and I were very impressed. We kept taking shots until our ball didn't hook, and was near our target. I was able to pick where I wanted the ball to land and what club I was using.

Bottoms line, this thing is COOL!

I did a little on-line shopping expedition and Dancin' Dogg is by far the most affordable simulator out there. The closest quality product I could find was priced at $999.00. Almost $500.00 more than Dancin' Dogg.

If you want to use the Dancin' Dogg with practice balls (and especially if you want to use real balls) I highly recommend getting a net. If you want the BEST experience, I recommend you get the whole Dancin' Dogg Package. It included a 5'x4' golf mat and a net!

Practice golf whenever you want, night or day, rain or shine with Dancin' Dogg!

This week on The Savvy Golfer, I will be adding Recycled Golf Balls! These lightly used golf balls are perfect for junior and recreational golfers. If your kids are beginning to take interest in the game, don't spend a fortune on their golf balls. These golf balls are top of the line, brands from Nike, Titlest, Top Flite and more! Get your kids the brand name balls they want at a price you won't split hairs over when they get lost in the back yard!

Helloooo Bloggers!

Hi to everyone out there in the blogging world.

I have never done a blog of my own, nor have i ever posted on any other. Nonetheless, my name is Maureen and I am the latest -- and greatest ;) -- member of The Savvy Golf Team.

So far I have been putting new products on the site, and sending out e-mails. I have been working really hard on my mass e-mails, and they are very pretty and informative, and usually contain coupons, so sign up to be on my list!

As for the new products go, my favorite new product is the Dancin' Dogg. If you have seen the show Entourage on HBO, you will appreciate this product. It is exactly like the golf simulator they have, but affordable. (In case you're like me and don't roll with a movie star!) Another really cool feature is that you can play Tiger Woods with it. It's the video game in its entirety, but your actual clubs and your actual swings are the controllers -- it's like the Wii without bobble head characters.

I am committed to making sure I post on here for my fellow golf enthusiasts. I do a lot of on-line shopping, so I am trying to make the shopping on The Savvy Golfer to be more comfortable and easy to find what you are looking for. Personally, I love products that will make the neighbors jealous, and other women stare, so I am on the hunt for the coolest, latest, trendiest golf products out there for men, women and children, and will bring them to you on The Savvy Golfer.

Enjoy!

New Savvy Golfer Bags

At long last our new Savvy Golfer lady's golf bags have arrived. I know we are not the first company to produce a pink golf bag or a blue lady's golf bag but our bags stand out because of their good looks and the fact that they hold a ton of accessories, they are super light and they have a nice wide divider top that easily holds plenty of woods and Hybrids. Check out the pictures.

New GRIP Golf Blog

The new Blog for GRIP Golf is http://gogrip.blogspot.com/
We have also added a link from www.gogrip.com

Long Time Since Last Savvy Blog update

Okay, so the blog has not been updated in some time. However, it is fair to say that I have been fairly busy. First off, we hired Irene Savage our loyal and talented media person. Irene is working on marketing and business development. The list of her responsibilities include:
  • Launching the GRIP affiliate program
  • turning savvy golfer.com into a women's golf shopping site
  • handling our day to day order management
  • media
  • 1.2 million other things

I am actually going to switch to two Blogs. This one for savvygolfer.com and second one for http://www.gogrip.com/ that I will maintain. I am headed to the PGA show in a couple of weeks so we will have a lot of cool new savvygolfer products - mostly for women. I will be bunking in with my good pals from Wildcard Golf (http://www.wildcardgolf.com/), and one of my investors who like to hang out at the show with me.

Additionally we are opening a store in Northborough, MA. We are going to be at East Coast Golf Academy, a driving range. We are going to stock a lot of GRIP Golf equipment, Linksman Golf, Blossoms, Balls, Gloves and everything else we have. We are going to have some awesome products and tremendous values thanks mostly to our friends at Linksman Golf who are helping us get started with a tone of equipment.

I will provide a link to the GRIP Blog shortly. I will include some updates on new product.
